FFLC Attorneys Argue Final Appeal for Realtor Wilson Fauber
Yesterday, our Founding Freedoms Law Center (FFLC) attorneys argued the final appeal for Wilson Fauber’s REALTOR ethics charges. Please be in prayer for Wilson as the REALTOR panel decides his fate this week!
You may recall that Wilson is an ordained minister and a 44-year member of REALTOR, a professional association for real estate agents and brokers. Last year, he was confronted with formal ethics charges for purely personal Facebook posts he made about his biblical views about marriage and sexuality. For that, he now stands to be punished for “hate speech,” up to and including taking away his status as a member of REALTOR. (Without this membership, it is virtually impossible to earn a living as a real estate agent because of the effective monopoly REALTOR has over the online Multiple Listing Services.)

After an ethics panel found Wilson guilty of “hate speech” in December, FFLC appealed. We now await their decision, which we will hopefully have within the week. If the ethics panel rules against Wilson, we will be exploring all of his legal options.
Last week, Wilson was able to tell his story at the National Coalition for Religious Freedom in Washington D.C. There is immense interest in his story nationally because of the implications for real estate professionals in their free speech and religious freedom. We appreciate your continued prayers and support as we continue to fight for the rights of faith-based professionals like Wilson.
